About Dawn Emerick
Dawn Emerick has been a fan of sports for her entire life. Whether it be football, baseball, basketball, or gymnastics, Dawn enjoyed watching a game with her family or friends. Growing up, she was a major fan of the former Washington Redskins, but she began cheering on the Jacksonville Jaguars as an adult. She also roots for the Florida State Seminoles and the Oregon Ducks for college football, as well as the Portland Trail Blazers for basketball.
Perhaps one of the reasons why Dawn loves sports to this day is her background in gymnastics. When she was younger, Dawn was an elite gymnast, and she retains a great appreciation for the sport, despite ending her gymnastics studies years ago. Dawn still enjoys keeping up with international gymnastics, however.
Although Dawn Emerick is a major fan of sports and enjoys it in her time off, she also enjoys spending time traveling around the country and the world. To Dawn, life is an adventure waiting to be lived, and thus, she approaches each trip with curiosity and a willingness to be spontaneous when the time is right. Dawn finds both tourist attractions and local favorites equally intriguing, but regardless of where she goes, she is always looking for a new experience.
While Dawn finds time to relax and enjoy herself, she also puts in a tremendous amount of effort toward her career. Dawn Emerick is a consultant in healthcare administration and business operations. Dawn frequently consults with public health organizations, nonprofits, and government agencies to provide services for executive leadership, organizational design, change management, and community engagement. Dawn has over 30 years of experience in the healthcare administration field, with much of that taking place at a Director level.
Throughout Dawn’s career, she has achieved many notable accomplishments. One highlight was in her time consulting with Hubbard House, a domestic violence shelter. Dawn was able to develop a policy playbook in the event of Respiratory Disease at their facilities, as well as provide executive leadership and technical coaching to their CEO.
Dawn Emerick’s educational background also shows her highly-specialized skill set, which lends itself well to her consulting career. In 1990, she graduated from Frostburg State University with a B.S. in Health Education. In 1995, she received her Master’s in Public Administration/Health Administration from the University of North Florida. She attended UNF again for her Doctorate of Educational Leadership/Health Communications, which she earned in 2008. In 2018, Dawn returned to school, this time attending Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, where she is currently working toward a Master’s of Population Health Management.
